Home Time Arts Time: free online arts classes for children with special needs. Mon, Wed & Fri @ 4:30PM (EDT)

As a consultant I find pleasure in identifying a need and working to achieve a solution. In this unusual time where we find ourselves confined to our homes, several families of children with special needs mentioned a deficit of activities in the day. I reached out to some colleagues who share my passion for working with this community, and they have lovingly agreed to donate their time so that we can provide free art instruction every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoon. These classes will be approximately 20 minutes in length, and will be catered to the children who attend. I will be present at all lessons (that I am not teaching) to communicate with parents so we can be responsive in the moment to questions and concerns as the classes proceed. In this time when we cannot share the space and we cannot work hand over hand, I look forward to embarking on this adventure together as we do our very best to adapt learning to the online space in a manner that is interactive, inclusive, responsive and meaningful. Please join us.
